Outlook Express Settings for SMTP Authentication
for MAC OS 8.1 to 9.x
Outlook Express version 5.0.6 running on MacOS 8.1 to 9.x needs to be installed in order for your Authenticated SMTP Relay Service to work properly. You can check which version you have by going to the About Outlook Express window which displays the verison you have on your Mac.

From the Tools menu, choose Accounts
Edit the profile which is already there, as you will be changing the SMTP settings only and the authentication settings for the Authenticated SMTP Relay Service. Enter asmtp.asmtp.com in the SMTP server field.
Under the field where you have just entered the SMTP server, there is another box that says 'Click here for advanced settings'. Please click there to open another box as shown in the example below
Please make sure that the box where it indicates 'SMTP server requires authentication' is ticked and the button where it indicated
'Log on Using' is also ticked on. Where it says 'Account ID' please enter your email address with the password below it.
Important-This is the password you specified when you bought the ASMTP Relay Service

You are now ready to send emails using SMTP Auth.Please note that each ASMTP Account that you purchase only works for the email account that you specify. It will not allow you to send emails from any other email account
